Microsoft ayer puso el Service Pack 3 RC2 a disposición de los probadores (http://traficantesdehardware.com/Noticias/Windows-XP-SP3-RC2-lanzado.html) y el público en general. La compañía ha proporcionado unapequeño script para ejecutar en una máquina bajo XP SP2 que permite adquirir SP3 a través de una actualización de Windows.
La nueva build v3311, no se puede instalar sobre las betas anteriores de SP3. Las versiones de Windows Xp Service Pack 3 anteriores a la Release Candiate 2 deben ser quitadas antes de intentar utilizar este registro. Windows Update no permitirá la descarga de la segunda Release Candidate de XP a todas aquellas máquinas que cuenten con versiones previas del Windows Xp Service Pack 3 beta.

Bajan el archivo del link y mientras buscan actualizaciones en win. update ejecutan el archivo que bajaron y listo windows update hará su trabajo...

chepe: me parece que el sp3 xp final estará para abril o mayo, considerando que en marzo recién lanzan el sp1 para vista y no sería nada conveniente para microsoft lanzar ambos a la vez, ya imaginarás por que... saludos!!!

tengan en cuenta que las actualizaciones y mas en los service para Windows lentean las maquinas, y despues para quitarlas cuesta un monton y cuando las quitan quedan los registros y aun queda lenta, es mejor conseguir el sistema con las mejoras ya integradas, porque nos indican las especificaciones minimas para poder instalarlas...

Credentials security service provider
Allows forward compatibility with Windows Vista® and Windows Server® 2008, And enables applications to delegate user credentials from the client to the target server. This security service provider is available through the security service provider interface, and it is used by Remote Desktop Protocol 6.0.
Descriptive security options control panel
Offers more descriptive text to explain the settings and prevent incorrect configuration of settings.
Enhanced security for Administrator and Service policy entries
Presents Administrators and Service entries (in System Center Essentials) by default on new policy instances. Additionally, a user will not be able to remove the setting in the UI for the "Impersonate Client After Authentication" user right.
Microsoft Kernel Mode Cryptographic Module
Implements and supports the SHA2 hashing algorithms (SHA256, SHA384, and SHA512) in X.509 certificate validation.
The Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-1 standard has been replaced by FIPS 140-2, and these modules have been validated and certified according to this standard.
Windows Product Activation
Allows users to complete their software setup without having to provide a product key.
