Globat is Dead, 'Cheap' Hosting is Expensive

It is a well-known adage that paying little you get little, and trying to save money usually costs more in the long run. Businesses or organisations that rely upon web hosting and email services looking for lowest prices, are no doubt taking great risks. It is common sense to do some research before opting for a product or service, and with the Internet such research only takes seconds to do some online (re)search.

Here's an example: if you did a search for "Cheap Web Hosting" and you ended up with a company like Globat in your search results, and you are impressed with the price and print, then you need to do a second search for Globat problems (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=globat+problems) to see what kind of problems they have. Anyone having problems with a company can now easily report that on the web, in forums such as this one which would save anyone else from making the same mistakes.

Of course other things to look for are the length of time a company has been in business providing a particular product or service. If it is brand new, then there won't be much history or customer experience to go on.
