How is it hard to understand why people would mix that up...
The question is easy, sure, if you are following PEDMAS rules correctly. However, people are lazy, and by doing the addition in the parentheses on the right first, the lazy, careless, and initial response people will get would be to do the right side multiplication first.
48÷2(9+3)
48÷2(12)
48÷24
2
We all know this is wrong. That's fine. But to say it's difficult to understand why less informed / less attentive people would confuse the order of operations here is ignorant.
People are dumb, why is that hard to understand?
